April 20. 2018 | Ricardo Escobar, a Geoscientist-in-the-Park with the National Park Service, recently finished up his AmeriCorps term at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument in Colorado. Throughout his term Ricardo was an invaluable asset to the educational programs of the Paleontology Division at the Monument.

April 20, 2018 | Last summer, after a month of technical training with other BIA WaterCorps members at the University of Arizona Department of Hydrology and Water Resources, JoRee LaFrance traveled back north to serve with the Crow Water Quality Project (CWQP) in southern Montana. 

April 17, 2018 | Deirdre Morrison, a Stewards VISTA at Elsewhere Studios in Paonia, CO, along with other volunteers participated in a National Service Recognition Day event in April.

April 16, 2018 | Chris Honahnie, a Stewards VISTA member serving in collaboration with the Southwest Conservation Corps’ Ancestral Lands Program, has certainly made an impact in his community. Building on his previous National Service experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, Chris is helping all three of his supporting organizations engage and empower the community. 

April 16, 2018 | In her second service term with the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE), AmeriCorps member Cassandra Forte has taken on a number of large projects including water quality testing at a nearby safari park and wildlife conservation center, The Wilds.  

March 16, 2018 | Fifty-three young adults took the AmeriCorps pledge to “Get Things Done” and support a legacy of service and conservation stewardship at the National Park Service. These Community Volunteer Ambassadors will serve with the NPS for 50 weeks and be trained as community and volunteer engagement coordinators.
