When your member/intern begins their service at your site, it is critical you support them in completing their I-9 on their first day. Please help them understand how to track their hours in our timekeeping portal. The resources below will help you with these two primary supervisor responsibilities.

- Payroll Schedule
- please review and set up calendar/phone reminders on due dates for timesheet approval. It is very important that you approve member's timesheets on time every other week. Failure to do so could cause a delay in member living allowance disbursement

- Please discuss planned time off with the member at the beginning of their term. This document will guide you through the conversation. It is very important to mention that AmeriCorps members must record any days off as a "0" in their timesheet.

We recognize a lot can happen during a member's/intern's service at your site. The resource below can help guide you through how best to report injuries, environmental emergencies, workplace challenges, or other incidents to your Program Coordinator.

- Incident Reporting is inclusive of ALL incidents. This includes injuries, harassment, behavioral challenges, interpersonal conflict, mental health emergencies, and anything else that requires CL staff support.

During your member's/intern's service at your site, you are REQUIRED to complete evaluation(s). If you do not complete the required evaluations, Stewards Staff will follow up frequently.
The frequency of evaluations is determined by the member's length of service (see below).- Members serving less than 18 weeks, must receive a final evaluation from their supervisor.
- Members serving 18 weeks or longer must receive a mid-term AND final evaluation from their supervisor.
Your Stewards Program Coordinator will reach out at least two weeks in advance of the evaluation due date to remind you of this requirement. All evaluations must be reviewed with your AmeriCorps member and signed by both you and the member/intern.
